This is the third year that ABB JDF implements scholarship awards under a 3-year program which has been announced since early 2010.
For the year of 2012 - 2013, ABB JDF will continue to offer two scholarships for students of Electrical School of Engineering. HUT will recommend potentially suitable candidates through an application screening process. ABB will then review the candidacy before announcing any scholarship.
The scholarships are granted for one full-year. The ABB JDF will pay 18,070,000 VND (for Hanoi resident student) or 21,670,000 VND (non-Hanoi student) in the first academic year. The ABB JDF will also be responsible for paying a one-time fee of 6,000,000 VND in the first year for computer equipment/ software. ABB will take part in an annual review of the student's performance which will determine whether the scholarship is continued.
Students who receive scholarships will have the opportunity to participate in international conferences sponsored by ABB Group and be provided with help and vocational guidance in the learning process by ABB engineers in Viet Nam. However, the acceptance of the scholarship does not require the student to accept employment, if offered, by ABB after graduation.
Interested students are required to send applications to HUT's Electrical School of Engineering office between 20 August to 24 August 2012.
