As a part of "Don't look the other way" campaign, our Safety Week this year will focus on 3 core themes: key safety risks, working safely with contractors and safe ways of working, besides other sub themes such as SOT and hazard report.
This is the second year that the Safety Week has been staged in ABB countries following the success of the first one, when more than 50 countries participated in events and training that saw more than 140,000 participants taking part in 2,500 training sessions.
"Safety culture is how you are doing safely, even when no one is looking". Mr. Axel Kalt, Managing Director, stressed at the Safety Week launching event, adding that all ABB employees in Vietnam should make efforts to build a health and safety culture, to ensure safety for himself and his colleagues at the work place. The responsibility of employees for health and safety does not only limit at work but also comprises on the roads and in communities where they live, Mr. Kalt further added.
Launching events took place in other ABB branches in Vietnam. A series of intensive training classes were conducted during the week for both blue and white collars in all ABB location nation-wide. Especially on this occasion, all ABB employees received a smoke detectors produced by ABB Low Voltage Factory in Germany.
