Integration of Quality, Safety and Environment control system.

For many years, the existence of 3 different control systems (Quality, Safety and Environment) has shown itself limitations such as: several dissimilar document systems leading to a complication in access and usage; the separated evaluation between Internal audit and Certification audit causing lots of paper work …Therefore, Management Board agreed to the integration of these systems. It has been kicked-off from 2013.

The initial objective of this project is to support users approaching 3 systems requirements more easily. So building a synchronous document system became the top mission for Management Board. Representatives from Quality, Safety and Environment Departments and some related departments discussed and decided to the new document system combining 3-in-1, which has many changes of procedures and work instruction. After 1 year of kicking-off, the process of revising and updating was completed with the modification of more 200 official documents.

Besides that, the document system on Lotus Notes was also reorganized with the aim of providing more advantages to users. Document was arranged in the tree structure, and you can find procedures, work instruction and forms of each departments in order.
The next step was Integration Internal audit. It required representatives of related departments to participate in a training course for 3 control systems. The 5-day course was organised in ABB factory and after that, the internal audit was executed for the whole systems at the same time.

The final step was Integration Certification audit. The program was implemented by TUV Nord in December, 2014. In the process, 2 minor nonconformity points and several potential issues for improvement were detected. On 10 February 2015, our factories officially received a series of certificates for the integration system including Quality Management System Requirements ISO9001:2008, Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems-Requirements OHSAS 18001 and Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2008.

The amazing success is the result of continuous effort from Quality, Safety, Environment and other related units as well as the Management Board's support.
