ABB to participate in “ Enterprises with community responsibilities” seminar

On 14 May 2013, in company with six other Swiss multinational corporations, ABB participated in “ Enterprises with community responsibilities” seminar, held at the Tuoi tre newspaper.

In addition to seven representatives of Swiss multinational corporations, the meeting also involved Mr. Andrej Motyl - the Swiss Ambassador to Vietnam and Tuoi Tre newspaper editorial director, Mr. Pham Duc Hai. At the seminar, representatives of Swiss global companies shared their opinion about their CSR (Corporate social responsibilities).

Mr. JianPeng Fu - Country manager of ABB in Vietnam- said that ABB has launched many program to support local community, such as supporting for Japan after tsunami, improving infrastructure condition of Peace Village, helping Uong Bi hospital and sponsoring power transformers to Hoang Mai district. Moreover, ABB in Vietnam also has some annual programs with Hanoi University of Science Technology (HUST), such as: the ABB JDF scholarship aims at sponsoring students of academic institutions across the globe to study for innovation and adoption of new energy and automation technology, organizing career orientation day, induction trips and factory visits as well as internship programs for HUST students.

All in all, as a long term strategy of ABB, CSR will be continued to invest more in the future. We will use our advanced products and technologies working with our customers as well as community to build up a harmony society.
