In Mar 2015, ABB in Vietnam won a big order to supply 52 Compact Secondary Substations (CSS) for a big customer - Malaysia Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) placed in Southern Johor, Malaysia. This is one of key petrochemical projects of Petronas which is going to be on operation in 2019.
This is one of big orders of CSS product line for export market from ABB PPMV factory in Bac Ninh. The order is a big step to expand export market of the ABB PPMV factory and also a pedal to ABB in Vietnam developing the export business to the Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
The most outstanding success factors were the continuous effort and collaboration at the maximum level between MV factory and other related parties. Due to the reasons, we completely provided information at the right time to satisfy all of the customers' strict requirements; then, won the contract.
At the present, all staffs of the MV factory are working hard to ensure the production progress and quality to enhance customers' satisfaction and trust on both ABB's products and support services. The effective implementation of phase 1 would open up chances for ABB to gain more business offers for the next stages.
With observation from global PG side, the success of this project is an obvious evidence of ABB Vietnam's ability in manufacturing and selling export products to countries in the region. And most importantly, it shown a close and operative cooperation between departments of MV factory as well as divisions in the ABB.
