ABB in Vietnam is honored to welcome Mr. Urban Ahlin - Swedish Parliament Speaker to visit ABB factories in Bac Ninh

March, 30th 2015, in his official five-day visit to Vietnam alongside Sweden’s participation in the ongoing IPU-132, the Swedish Parliament Speaker Urban Ahlin and his delegation visited ABB high voltage and medium voltage factory in Bac Ninh. Together with him, there were the Swedish Ambassador – Ms. Camilla Mellander and media agencies in nationwide.

The program included introduction about ABB in Vietnam - 20 year journey of establishment and development, 2014 business and operation results and 2015 targets, as well as long-term direction for 2020. Mr. Urban and delegation also spent time visiting high voltage and medium voltage factory in Bac Ninh, the state of the art factory which was built and went into operation in 2010, specializing in production of power products of high voltage and medium voltage that not only serve domestic demand but also export to the world markets. Beside of ABB transformer factory in Ha Noi, high voltage and medium voltage factory in Bac Ninh is a strong evidence of ABB's efforts and strategy of sustainable development in Vietnam.

As Mr. Ahlin said, he was very glad to officially visit Vietnam for the first time and witnessed the prosperous development of bilateral relations between our two countries, which was considered to be unique and special. He highly appreciated the efforts in investment and operation of ABB during the 20 - year- journey of establishment and development in Vietnam, especially the long-term direction and targets in pursuing Green Business and Sustainable Development. Mr. Ahlin also said that he wants more and more Swedish companies to invest in Vietnam, and a growing number of Vietnamese companies reaching out to the world market.
