ABB will showcase its leading robotics technologies as a participant at ProPak Vietnam 2018 from March 20 to 22, 2018 - the largest processing and packaging exhibition in the Indochina region.

Themed "Transforming Vietnam's manufacturing", ABB's showcase will include a series of its packaging technologies to help manufacturers pick, pack and palletize with greater agility to meet increasingly diverse consumer needs and shorter product cycles. The ABB IRB1200 robot can be utilized in a wide range of processes, including loading and unloading, small piece assembly, polishing, and material handling. FlexPicker IRB360 meets most picking requirements in practically all food and beverage and consumer based picking applications and the IRB460 is the fastest robot on the market, designed specifically for high speed end-of-line palletizing.

The demonstration will include ABB's YuMi, the world's first dual arm collaborative robot. YuMi is a cutting edge solution that is suitable for manufacturers operating in Vietnam's electronics industry to meet flexible and agile production needs. YuMi was also developed to bring small piece assembly and other automation applications of industry into a new era.

"Our pioneering technologies and solutions help manufacturers improve productivity, product quality and worker safety thus improving their competitiveness in the market," said Brian Hull, Country Managing Director, ABB in Vietnam. "We hope to share more about our offering at ProPak and provide a firsthand view into new technologies that will impact the way industries move forward in this rapidly changing business landscape."

ABB's robotics technologies are already widely used in Vietnam's industries such as electronics, animal feed, food and beverage, fertilizer, chemicals, automotive, metal fabrication and brick manufacturing. The company recently supplied thousands of robots to an electronics manufacturer in Vietnam.

ABB started its operations in the country in 1993. In the 25 years since, it has grown to be a reliable partner in the field of technology, providing turnkey solutions and services in the market.
