This is the third year in a row that the Industry Rising Star category has been sponsored by ABB and for the first time in 2017, it will be a dual award for male and female stars. The Rising Star Award category recognises young achievers under 35 years of age.
Importantly the HVACR Leadership Awards program helps to focus the spotlight on the exceptional people and industry trends such as digitalisation that are making a positive impact within the HVAC&R industry.

Nuturing young talent

ABB is nurturing the talents of young Australians in many ways. ABB's Graduate Engineering Program has been running for more than 10 years in Australia. The program provides graduate engineers with the opportunity to experience three six-month rotations across ABB's businesses, with one of those rotations taking place overseas.
ABB is also committed to supporting the development of young Indigenous Australians, through the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME). AIME is a mentoring and educational program that provides Indigenous high school students with the skills and opportunities to finish school and transition into university, training or employment at the same rate as all Australians.
