ABB has appointed Richardson RFPD (an Arrow Electronics company) as its global channel partner for power semiconductor devices. Headquartered outside of Chicago, in Geneva, Illinois, the company is an electronic component distributor focusing on the RF and wireless communications, industrial IoT, power conversion and renewable energy markets.
Richardson RFPD has over 400 employees serving customers worldwide from local sales offices in the Americas, Asia/Pacific and Australia, Europe and Middle East. From these locations the company offers component development and selection, technical support, and world-class logistics and supply chain capabilities.
For ABB Semiconductors, the company is its first channel partner with a local presence that can serve many countries. Where ABB already has a partner in a region, Richardson will act as a support to the local channel partner. In other countries Richardson will be the sole source for access to ABB Semiconductors’ devices.
Whether designing with discrete components or looking to take advantage of integrated circuits or systems, Richardson RFPD’s worldwide design centers and technical sales team provide comprehensive support to bring product ideas to market. Its selection of evaluation boards and reference designs, for example, help speed customers’ time-to-market.
