ABB Electrification and its Smart Building business line (ELSB) has taken part in Light Middle East 2019, one of the leading lighting and building automation exhibitions in the region. The three-day event saw a number of ABB’s industry leading smart building products on display. This is the first time ABB is participating in the exhibition, which was inaugurated by H.E. Saeed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.
The smart building portfolio was on display for visitors to experience and was presented under the theme of “Give your buildings a new dimension”. The products are meant to transform hotels, commercial buildings and homes into smart buildings with end to end solutions. ABB’s latest in building control devices, the i-bus KNX PEONIA was introduced. With intuitive control of lights, temperature, fans, blinds, shutters, etc. PEONIA is an all-in-one solution for high-class residential buildings, hotels and other commercial buildings. Also introduced was ABB's premium switches, the Millennium Glass range was introduced to the market at the event. Comprising of simple, yet elegant designs, the smart building product portfolio is an industry favorite and is only getting better with the introduction of the Glass range.
The ABB booth was specifically designed to simulate a smart home with ABB products integrated and operational. Live demos were carried out for visitors which showcased the intelligent features and connectivity which the products offer, including integration with smart assistants such as Amazon Alexa. With events such as Light Middle East, ABB is trying to address customer needs with complete end to end solutions rather than individual products. Overall, the exhibition was a success with great customer interaction and feedback.
