ABB launches ABB i-bus KNX PEONIA sensor, an intuitive building systems control device for all KNX applications with a frameless, slim and elegant classical design to match your imagination. The device has replaceable rockers (or buttons) in six colors, which can be arranged in free combination to suit your home interior design.
This single device enables an easy switch between heating or cooling with intuitive control of temperature, fan speed, and the dynamic control of blinds or shutters. The control system can be set to Eco mode and can dynamically control the dimming of lights to provide an easy solution to enhance comfort levels in high-class residential buildings, top class hotels and other commercial buildings.
The ABB i-bus KNX PEONIA sensor control element can trigger different scenes for life, switching from the welcome scene to the dinner scene and then to a reading scene at a touch of a button. It forms the interface between state-of-the-art building technology and its user. If the ABB i-bus KNX PEONIA sensor is equipped with fine particle (PM2.5), volatile organic compound (VOC) and humidity sensors, then air quality changes can be monitored and displayed in real time so that the living environment can be adjusted automatically, perhaps by opening or closing windows or by regulating the air conditioning.
"The growing interest in home automation is driving us to think about how we can bring better and more comfortable living experiences to our users through greater innovation," said Zhongdan Wang, Hub BU Manager, Asia Pacific, Building Products business unit of the Electrification Products division of ABB. "The PEONIA sensor is just the right new product to give "all-in-one" smart access to home comfort."
In addition, ABB introduces ClimaECO HVAC solution and ABB-tacteo KNX sensor to the China market for improved management and energy efficiency of hotels and commercial buildings.
Combining newly-developed products with ABB i-bus KNX system, the new ClimaECO offering presents a holistic solution for HVAC applications in modern buildings, from central HVAC down to individual room temperature control. A range of freely programmable and preconfigured application specific devices can be added easily to existing KNX systems. ABB's HVAC ClimaECO offering is a time efficient solution, reducing the investment needed in planning, integration and maintenance.
The new ABB-tacteo KNX sensor is an individually configurable control element for intelligent building control of luxury hotels, public buildings and high-class residential buildings. Constructed from glass and made to order, each ABB-tacteo KNX sensor is unique and allows customers to choose which icon and labels they require via an online configurator. The sensor can perform a wide range of hotel management tasks (such as load activation, make up room/do not disturb settings and room number signaling).
