Xinhui, Guangdong, April, 27, 2017 - As a pioneering technology leader, ABB successfully launched its innovative compact automatic transfer switch (ATS) OTM series. Representing the cutting-edge technology in the application of transferring power sources automatically from one to another, the OTM series (OTMF_C_20D/21D) provides safe and reliable power supply for grid terminal loads for such applications as commercial and residential buildings, fire safety, industry and data centers.
"Sticking to our 'In China, for China and the World' strategy, we have continuously improved our local R&D capabilities through continued investment and R&D footprint optimization," said Raimondo Salandra, LBU manager, Protection and Connection Products, Electrification Products Division, ABB China. "The compact ATS OTM series is just a gratifying achievement of local R&D in China. In the future, our technology innovation and response will be faster and closer aligned to local needs."
Excellence
Available in two configurations - OTM_C_20D and OTM_C_21D, the ABB compact ATS OTM series can greatly meet the various needs of 32-125A load side power supply switchover. Compared with similar products in the market, the OTM series features the smallest footprint, which, plus the inerratic and exquisite appearance, can save more than 50% of installation costs for customers.
The series provides a flexible installation method - upper and lower wiring, which better meets the requirements of different power supply directions and cabinets. The one-button design enables the experience of simplicity, easiness and accuracy. All of its secondary circuits and wires are integrated into its inside in a completely isolated, safe and reliable manner.
Sophistication
The series is provided with multiple sophisticated intelligent and user-friendly features. The one-button access test mode and remote test signal input avoid troubles in acceptance or maintenance caused by the secondary circuit power supply's power-off or failure to arrive at the site. Moreover, the generator signal input and delay function sets the stage for intelligent control of the generator as the reserve power supply side.
The series is provisioned with fire safety (emergency cut) signal input, able to meet the mandatory requirements of fireproof buildings. Its various mechanical and electrical interlocks can better ensure operator and power supply safety and reliability.
The new compact ATS series is designed for the global market and complied with CCC and CB standards. It was showcased at the Hannover Messe this year.
