Beijing, January 13, 2012 -On the evening of Jan. 9th, the ABB China Chorus was invited to perform in "Always Remember-a Concert of Leading Composers and Lyric-writers of Modern China" at the National Center for the Performing Arts. As the only international exchange program during the concert, the ABB Chorus performed the well-known song "Luciano Pavarotti" from the opera "Camille" in Italian, winning warm applause from over 1,000 audiences for their passionate, four-part harmony, perfect vocal acrobatics, and beautiful attire.
The ABB China Chorus is composed of over 40 ABB China staff. To perfect the final performance, the choir members rehearsed about 20 times in their spare time over the past 2 months. The performance not only fulfilled their artistic aspirations, but also won honor for ABB China.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Commerce, the concert was organized by the China Foreign Investment Enterprise Association, the Association of China Development Zones and other bodies. The choruses from MNCs including ABB, Samsung, Nokia, and YUM performed alongside teachers and students from the China Central Conservatory of Music and singers and performers of the China Youth Orchestra, contributing many popular classics such us "The Fishermen," "Farewell," "That Faraway Place," and "Singing of the Motherland."
