
Beijing, November 30, 2015 -- The world's leading power and automation technology group ABB announced that the seventh ABB Cup national automation thesis contest, with the theme of "intelligent industry and smart city", revealed the list of winners at the Chinese Automation Congress held in Wuhan on November 28. The thesis "Intelligent automated testing robotic system based on Internet of Things", written by Yu Chong from Intel Asia-Pacific Research & Development Ltd., stood out from 561 theses and won the first prize.

ABB Cup national automation thesis contest was initiated by the Chinese Association of Automation in 2005, with ABB (China) Ltd. as the exclusive sponsor. The thesis contest is oriented to people engaged in engineering, technology, design, management, operation, maintenance and training functions in enterprises and public institutions, or those who are working as teachers and engineers at universities and research institutes.
Over the ten years, the contest has attracted the active participation of a large number of talents in the automation field. It provides a communication platform for the exchange of cutting-edge technology and experience for domestic automation industry, and also promotes the integration of automation industry and academic research. To date, ABB Cup national automation thesis contest has attracted the participation of 6,558 contestants and received 3,140 theses with more than 200 from which being elected as award-winning theses. In addition, 7 collections of theses have been published which include a total of nearly 600 high-quality theses.
As a national academic conference organized by Chinese Association of Automation, Chinese Automation Congress is designed to provide the opportunity for the researchers and engineers in automation field to sufficiently communicate the latest research results and progress as well as share practical experience.
