Over its 10-year history, the company has participated in the construction of a number of major power projects in China. The list is a long one, including the 500kV HVDC power links from Three Gorges to Shanghai and Guangdong, the phase I and II HVDC links from Guizhou to Guangdong, the 800kV HVDC pilot power line linking Yunnan-Guangdong, the 1000kV UHVAC pilot power line linking southeast Shanxi to Jingmen, the DC interconnection project linking the power networks of the Northwest and Central China, China's first domestic made 220kV SC project in Bicheng, Gansu, and the 500kV SC projects in Chengde, Guilin, Janshui and Yanshan. The company helped build the Beijing Anhui 110kV Substation powering the "Bird's Nest" and "Water Cube" during the Beijing Olympic Games. The shunt capacitors from ABB Xi'an Power Capacitor were deployed in the China Pavilion of Shanghai Expo. The company has also delivered a great number of filter capacitors to industrial customers such as steel mills and aluminium plants.
