Unveiling the Dening and Dejing EWA series

The Dening and Dejing series, the latest members of ABB's low voltage EWA family, have been specifically developed for the Chinese market under ABB's globally consistent quality standards. Led by the R&D team of ABB LV Installation Materials Co., Ltd. Beijing and supported by the R&D team of German Busch-Jaeger Elektro GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of ABB, research and development of the two new series lasted eight months. Both series are designed for upper and middle class urban apartments, houses and hotels. The Dening series adopts a square frame design and a built-in silver chrome plated border, while the Dejing series features an arc-shaped frame design and a natural transition in order to match a simple yet stylish decor.

The new EWA products carry forward ABB's high standards. They are made of superior PC materials featuring high flame resistance and color fastness. The switching components are made of silver-nickel contacts to provide high electrical conductivity, wear resistance, and mechanical strength. The new EWA series adopts a five-hole wide-pitch design with up to a 42mm space between the two-hole and three-hole sockets, allowing synchronous use of two large plugs and thereby greatly improving utilization efficiency. In addition, the new products integrate USB charging sockets for direct charging of all types of electronic equipment. The new products also provide functions such as timed switches, current overload warning, and lightning protection to further enhance safety and reliability and meet consumer demands for quality and safety. The new products help to create a convenient, comfortable personal space for consumers through their optimized design and extensive functions.

ABB Solar House demonstrates future low-carbon life

To help Chinese consumers experience a high-quality smart home environment with ABB low voltage products, the company recently unveiled the ABB Solar House at ABB LV Installation Materials Co., Ltd. Beijing. The house boasts award-winning designs from the 2007 and 2009 Solar Decathlons, the world's top solar house design competition organized by the U.S. Department of Energy. All its power is generated by solar panels on the roofs and walls. By adopting ABB's existing technology, it allows residents to be self-sufficient in energy and realize a low-carbon life without compromising quality of life.

ABB Solar House features a simulated interior environment of high-end urban apartments, installed with cutting-edge low voltage electrical and smart home solutions such as ABB i-bus® Intelligent Building Control System and door entry systems. The i-bus® Intelligent Building Control System enables independent and integrated control of indoor lights, curtains, cooling, heating, home appliances, and door entry equipment with a single click of a button on control switches. The personalized "scenario application" mode enables the centralized control of various types of lighting and electrical equipment in alignment with actual needs.
