In October 2019, Paul Willi was appointed as Head Global Sales & Marketing for the semiconductors business within ABB Power Grids and now part of ABB Power Grids, Semiconductors management team.
The sales units in Lenzburg, Switzerland and Prague, Czech Republic will be merged under one leadership.
Paul is a highly experienced business executive. Since his graduation as an electrical engineer, Paul has held various management functions within sales in different ABB units. In 1996 he joined ABB’s semiconductors product unit in Lenzburg, Switzerland. Since then he has accumulated in-depth knowledge about high-power semiconductors and their applications as well as successfully collaborating with all of the businesses customers.
“I am very pleased to take the responsibility of the global sales and marketing for our semiconductors business and to continue the long-standing good cooperation with all stakeholders in my new function,” says Paul “The ongoing development of the semiconductors product group and the increasing market demands require a new setup of the sales and marketing teams. Therefore, we assigned the sales team in Prague, CZ, with the global customer responsibility for the complete product portfolio of our product group. As of the new year 2020, this will partly lead to changes of sales contacts. Those customers and distributors affected will be informed directly. When Paul is not selling or promoting semiconductors, he is biking, skiing or travelling to fascinating countries.
