Makan Chen is appointed as Head of Global Business Development, based in Lenzburg, Switzerland. Now part of ABB Power Grids, Semiconductors management team, he is responsible for the strategy and implementation of global business development. Makan works closely with sales & marketing as well as product management and application functions. This enables him to better identify strategic growth areas, to establish partnerships and to achieve long-term profitable business growth.
Makan has been with ABB for 24 years and has experience in R&D, technical management and ramp-up of IGBT assemblies line, supply chain management, strategic account management, technical sales and business development management. He is also responsible for the build-up of the semiconductors support center in China. His multicultural background (CN, EN and CH) is a great advantage for ABB’s semiconductors business.
In his free time, you can find Makan on a badminton court, hiking in the mountains or cooking delicious Chinese food.
