RICE is a research center at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of West Bohemia. When RICE was to be built, they set out very demanding requirements, as they were building a research and development testing facility, where they do research into fields and phenomena that are on the edge of current knowledge. So from the start, it was imperative that the center was equipped with the latest and even unique technology to fit into the complex technological concept of the testing facility.
