New Flexitest™ switch cover shield increases protection for both the user and the power system

ABB is pleased to announce the release of new Flexitest™ switch cover shield to provide additional safety during testing and maintenance.

Application
The cover shield is easy to install and remove while being a safeguard for "hot" blades. The cover shield can easily be secured via the tabs on the top of the cover preventing misplacement or damage. The ABB separate source test plug can be inserted into the FT switch while keeping hot blades isolated, providing unsurpassed safety during necessary testing and maintenance.

The cover shield adds hanging tabs and internal bosses to the standard shallow clear and black covers to provide customers with a means of covering hot blades during testing and maintenance.

Product positioning
The Flexitest switch cover shield is an addition to the existing FT test switch cover portfolio. The new cover shield makes the FT switch the first to provide a visual disconnect and finger-safe protection.

Ordering
Refer to the table below for cover shield style numbers when ordering. Use a "G" prefix for the shallow clear cover shield and "K" prefix for the shallow black cover shield when ordering FT-1 and FT-14 switches.
