At the upcoming Singapore International Water Week (SIWW), visitors can take a deep dive into ABB’s technological offering for the water/wastewater industry.
The key to providing a reliable flow of water for future generations comes down to operating efficiencies and optimizing the employment of water and energy resources. ABB recognizes the need to protect this precious resource and has intrinsically designed its technologies to improve the performance of water plants and networks and to manage the integrated water cycle with efficiency and effectiveness.
For almost 50 years, ABB’s technologies have contributed to hundreds of projects in various water applications, from water intake, transfer and distribution to desalination and treatment facilities, helping to improve water quality and availability in the most diverse areas of the world.
Right here in Singapore, a number of landmark water projects have deployed ABB’s technologies, for example the Changi Water Reclamation Plant, Ulu Pandan Wastewater Treatment Plant, Marina Barrage and most recently Marina East Desalination Plant, slated for completion by 2020.
ABB will feature these technologies and more at SIWW, taking place from 9 to 11 July, 2018 at the Marina Bay Sands Convention and Exhibition Center. The ABB booth (B2-N14) is themed ‘A world where every drop counts’, and will showcase the ABB Ability™ portfolio of digital offerings that will help customers realize reduced operational costs through increased productivity, greater reliability and safety with the use of sensors, protection and control devices, and faster response to equipment failures with predictive maintenance.
“Sustainable water management focusing on water quality and reliable supply is crucial in Singapore. At SIWW, ABB will share more about our integrated automation and electrical solutions for the entire water sector, that help address these important issues,” said Philip Lee, ABB’s Segment Lead for Water/Wastewater Industry in Singapore and South-East Asia.
ABB will launch in Singapore, two of its market-leading technologies – MNS® Digital, a scalable, modular, low-voltage smart switchgear and motor control center, with connected (IoT) intelligent features; and the fully modular, adaptable all-in-one protection and control relay REX640.
The ABB booth (B2-N14) is open from 9.30am to 5.30pm from 9 to 11 July 2018.
