There was also an unprecedented number of products and services represented in the exhibition portion of the conference. New amongst the usual System 800xA, Compact and Freelance booths were MES and CGM (control room design and equipment), together with Safety, Service and Decathlon.

The conference was preceded by the welcome reception, in which the conference hall was transformed into a jazzy cool lounge for mingling, drinks and a buffet. In the morning of Sep 23, the hall was once again converted back into a conference room seating 200 comfortably. Kristian Olsson opened the conference and introduced MC Roy Tanner, who took the stage and set the tone for the rest of the conference with energy and humor.

Gregor Killian welcomed the partners to Berlin, followed by Ilpo Ruohonen who delivered the "Strategy and Market Outlook" presentation. Daniel Huber talked about "Industry 4.0 - The internet of things, people and services" and how ABB's products and services fit into the next wave of the industrial revolution. Kristian Olsson, Global Head of Product and Partner Sales, ABB Control Technologies, reflected on the event, "The record number of registrations this year is a great testament to the level of interests and commitment of our partners in ABB Control Technologies and our market leading product offering. The event was also a great opportunity for us at ABB to engage directly with our partners to share our business strategy and highlight the central role our trusted partners play in realizing our growth objectives."

In the evening program, participants enjoyed a quick tour of Berlin, covering places of interests such as the remnants of the Berlin wall and Checkpoint Charlie, before proceeding to Gendamarie restaurant for dinner.

We appreciate the participation of all partners and who took time and make an effort to attend the conference. We also thank all the ABB people who have helped to make this conference yet another success.
