Major oil & gas company signs 3-year ABB Measurement Care agreement for northern US crude oil refinery

Three-year ABB Measurement Care agreement signed for a North Dakota refinery after being a self-maintainer for more than five years

A leading integrated downstream energy company’s North Dakota refinery has a significant installed base of ABB process analyzers, including PGC5000 series gas chromatographs that analyze the fuel gas feeding the plant’s gas-fired turbines. The site also has a significant installed base of ABB AO2000 series Continuous Gas Analyzers measuring stack gas emissions at the facility’s flare.

Based on the need for flexibility and predictable costs, ABB proposed an ABB Measurement Care agreement for site support that included quarterly visits from 32-hour blocks of time that can be used at the company’s discretion.

These hours can be used for installation, commissioning, training, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. This enables extra service capacity during peak periods and training for the company’s maintenance staff. The agreement also includes a parts discount.
