ABB announces new partnerships for their conduit & fitting, cable tie and cable gland products

As part of a global ABB strategy, from May 1, 2020, ABB in Australia will have several key distributors for their conduit & fitting, cable tie and cable gland products.

Legend Corporation Limited (Legend) will become the distributor for ABB’s Adaptaflex (conduit systems), Kopex-Ex (explosion proof conduit systems & glands), Ty-Rap, Ty-Fast and Deltec™ (cable ties), and Nicote (cable glands) brands. These products will be sold by Legend’s CABAC business. As a specialist distributor of conduit & fittings, cable ties and cable glands, the addition of ABB’s product range will allow CABAC to offer the most comprehensive portfolio of this type in the market.

Tercel will become the distributor for ABB’s Furse brand of industry leading earthing and lightning protection products. This partnership delivers clear synergies for both ABB and our customers given Tercel’s leadership in lightning and surge protection.

Carroll Australasia will become ABB’s distributor for the Harnessflex brand comprising conduit system for the automotive industry. With Carroll Australasia’s wide network and diverse customer base, they are well placed to deliver this specialised range of flexible conduit systems and connector interfaces to the market.

ABB’s Stanilite emergency lighting remains with ABB as a key offering within our Smart Buildings portfolio, having moved into the Smart Buildings business line last year due to its close alignment with building and building automation solutions. ABB is investing in the development of Stanilite to ensure this product range continues to lead the industry and provide the Australian emergency lighting market with the safest, most reliable, environmentally friendly, energy efficient emergency lighting fixtures.
