ABB introduces SEN Plus low-voltage (LV) switchgear as an addition to its portfolio for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and panel builders.
Available globally for licensed panel builders, SEN Plus offers solutions for Power Center and withdrawable Motor Control Center (MCC) applications. The switchgear, which complies to the latest IEC 61439-1/2 standards, can meet the most demanding requirements and high current applications of up to 6300A.
SEN Plus has wide market coverage ranging from commercial to high industrial segments. The switchgear is widely accepted, and typical applications include office buildings, energy distribution, water treatment plants and airports.
The flexible and modular switchgear design is fully type tested and certified by an independent test laboratory. The module assembly and wiring are simple and fast, providing safe and efficient LV power distribution. SEN Plus is equipped with ABB components such as Emax 2 and Tmax XT circuit breakers and AF contactors. It can also be extended with digital solutions to meet digitalization requirements and cater to increasing demands for smart technologies in electrical distribution.
ABB has a great number of long-standing partnerships with OEMs and panel builders around the world. The partnering network further accelerates the expansion of ABB’s technologies and customer-focused, safe and reliable solutions into local markets through well-established industry-leading companies.
“By adding SEN Plus, we are further strengthening and expanding the portfolio for our business partners” said Alessandro Palin, Managing Director for the Distribution Solutions business line within the Electrification business. “ABB’s proven technologies in combination with local support provide end customers with solutions for safe, smart and reliable electrical distribution networks.”
