ABB Ability™ creates powerful solutions and services that deliver opportunities to increase productivity and cut costs by combining ABB’s deep domain expertise with network connectivity and the latest digital technologies and innovations.
ABB Ability™ works by gathering and analyzing data from customers’ operations and combining the data with the knowledge and expertise gained from ABB’s global installed base of more than 70 million connected devices and more than 70,000 control systems. The end-to-end cloud commerce platform for ABB Ability™ Marketplace will be provided by AppDirect, which powers millions of cloud subscriptions worldwide. AppDirect helps organizations connect their customers to the solutions they need to reach their full potential in the digital economy and has a proven track-record of simplifying the digital supply chain.
Solutions which will be available on ABB Ability™ Marketplace include cloud-based features and services for ABB AbilityTM Electrical Distribution Control System and product functionalities including ATS and Load Shedding and circuit breakers’ features.
Other software and data services include Renewable Insights, providing information for siting wind and solar projects in North America and I-SEM Insights, which provides trading analysis tools for the Irish electricity market.
