Background:
Back in March 2016 ABB Power Grids Grid Automation was selected as a main technology and engineering partner in the FITNESS ("Future Intelligent Transmission NEtwork SubStation") project with Scottish Power Energy Networks – A UK based electricity transmission and distribution network operator – along with other partners. ABB Power Grids was a lead contributor of grid automation technology and engineering to this project, which saw the first deployment in Europe of a multi-vendor digital substation on a live operational transmission network.

Now we are in March 2020 and it’s a wrap! So to mark the successful close of the FITNESS project, Scottish Power Energy Networks and key partners, are organising a close out webinar for knowledge dissemination, to share the key learning points and outcomes from the project, and more importantly to share the plan going forward to move Digital Substation “frominnovation to business as usual” for future upgrade projects on the Scottish Power Energy Network – Good news is, you are invited to attend.
