ABB’s Electrification Business (EL) team in the UAE hosted its first webinar over the webex (Digital Platform) across the UAE for consultants and end-users on the topic ‘ABB Furse-Earthing & Lightning Protection System Design’ as per BS EN 62305 standard. The session had over 100 attendees.
The 2 hour session covered lightening risk management, physical damage to structures and life hazard, electrical/electronic systems within structures – surge protection device(SPD) selection for different segments in the UAE in addition to Earthing system design as per local regulation and British standard.
The webinar was organized by the EL Technical promotion team in the UAE and conducted by Crispin Antony, ABB Furse product marketing manager.
Following up on the success, there was another webinar hosted for consultants/end users in the UAE in the Medium Voltage Networks Design & Categorizations as per IEC 62271 topic with over 150 Attendees.
This webinar covered medium voltage categorization as per IEC Standard, introducing ABB Solutions for medium voltage switchgears and Ring Main Units(RMU’s), Glass-Fiber Reinforced polyester (GRP)compact substation design, benefits of digital transformation (IEC61850, sensors), various protection functions and utilities regulations.
The webinar was organized by EL Technical promotion team in the UAE and conducted by Tamer Saad, product marketing director and Osama Abbas, product marketing specialist.
