The distribution center employs close to 80 team members and processes an impressive 500 orders per day. ABB’s Bromont distribution center has become a legacy over the years, benefiting local employment and the economy.
The Bromont distribution center provides order fulfillment services for a wide range of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical products, sold primarily through the electrical distribution sales channel to electrical contractors and end users from coast to coast. These products include well-established, Canadian-made brands such as Iberville® boxes and covers, Marrette® wire connectors, Star Teck® cable fittings and Microlectric® meter bases.
Country Managing Director and Head of the Electrification business for Canada Éric Deschênes remarked: "As one of the only major manufacturers of electrical components with a dedicated, locally-based distribution center for the Canadian market, we have a unique advantage. What’s more, year after year, the employees’ dedication and commitment are reflected in near-perfect order performance. This is a key benefit and differentiator for our electrical distributor customers that stock and sell our products. We are extremely proud to celebrate this milestone for the Bromont distribution center!”
To mark this 25-year milestone, the team celebrated by recognizing the people behind the success of the ABB Bromont facility with a special awards lunch. During the socially distanced celebration, the ABB team shared their experience and best memories of working at ABB’s Bromont distribution center.
Canada made products and services are vital to the Canadian economy and the success of Canadian businesses. The Bromont distribution center is one of the many examples of ABB’s century long commitment to investing in Canadian technologies, products and jobs to support the development of local businesses.
