ABB in Peru is positioned to become one of the leaders in the electrical materials market as it announces that its products will be made available in two of the most important retail chains in the region, Sodimac and Maestro.
With 5% CAGR growth between 2020-2025* being seen across residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure (transportation), energy and utilities, it is estimated that the Peruvian hardware market is valued at US$50million.
Working with its distributor partner, Chang Commercial, the agreement, will see ABB supply nationally 56 product lines of low-voltage products, including the new thermomagnetic switches of DG+ type, the latest differential switches of DCG+ type and engine keepers, among others.
“This latest move will see contractors and installers gain access to quality products and solutions from ABB and provide greater visibility and access to safe, smart and sustainable solutions for construction projects in the country.

The agreement will also include creative approaches to marketing and brand awareness with instore point of sales marketing initiatives and will even include online promotion and events.
The products are now available across all Maestro and Sodimac stores and will further expand the lines to include new products.
