ABB-free@home® wireless wins at the 2020 NAN Awards

The 14th edition of the NAN Architecture and Construction Awards recognized the best projects and building materials of the sector in Spain.

Adding to its list of achievements in 2020, ABB-free@home® wireless was a winner for Niessen within the electricity, electronics, lighting and home automation category at the 2020 NAN Architecture and Construction awards on 10 December, based in Spain.  Niessen, brand of the ABB group, aims to increase the comfort, efficiency and safety of homes through the implementation of intelligent automated solutions.

A total of 300 spectators participated in the virtual ceremony in which 18 awards were given to the best architectural projects and building materials. The award is a recognition from the nation’s main construction companies, and the jury was comprised of key figures from the sector. In addition to rewarding the quality and innovation of materials, initiatives related to sustainability and energy efficiency were also recognized.

Idoia Matas, Head of Communication ABB Electrification, received the award. “It is an important recognition for the Niessen brand in the field of Architecture and Construction, since at ABB we are working to make buildings smart, safe and sustainable through innovation.”

José Manuel Galdón, CEO of TPI, welcomed the attendees by highlighting the wide range of the entries for the awards, which included 275 projects and more than a hundred construction materials.

The NAN Award is the second award that ABB-free@home® has won in 2020. In August the ABB-free@home® app Next earned a respected Red Dot Award for the design of its user interface.
