Designed as an easy-to-use ‘where to buy’ online search feature, ABB’s e-Finder allows customers to search for the part they want and locate all the distributors carrying that stock. It also shows the quantity of items available and the date the inventory was last updated.
Luca Zanella, Global eCommerce Distribution Channel Manager for ABB explained: “In the fast-paced world that we operate in, we know how important it is for our customers to have real-time access to the availability of parts, so developing our new e-Finder tool was an ideal solution. It is intuitive to use and provides a one-stop shop, giving users complete visibility on which distributors have stock available, together with their live pricing.”
With the widest possible offer of products listed on e-Finder and with more than 23 distributors already participating in the scheme, customers visiting the ABB or Thomas & Betts website can now look and shop for products 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Once they have found what they are looking for, they can search for a specific part number and the tool will show which distributors have the item in stock, ranked according to latest availability. Customers can then click on the link and be taken directly to the respective distributor’s web-shop to purchase the item.
With plans to grow the network further as e-Finder rolls out across the globe, Luca Zanella added: “We already have an impressive distributor list and are continually looking to extend this as we expand into new locations. Any distributor with an e-commerce homepage and inventory can join the portal and we are working closely with our contacts to onboard as many new companies as quickly as possible.”
As well as the US, e-Finder is now available in Canada and Poland, with additional launches planned for Europe and Asia during 2021.
