ABB and Equinor have signed a framework agreement for electrical equipment valid through February 2029. It includes supply of equipment and spare parts, software, studies, engineering, testing, installations, commissioning, mainte-nance, repair, training, documentation, life-cycle information (LCI) and digital services, such as remote diagnostics and 24/7 telephone and technical support.
“We are proud to continue the good and long-term collaboration with Equinor,“ says Per Erik Holsten, Country Managing Director of ABB in Norway. “The new agreement will help Equinor create additional value through reduced life-cycle costs for electrical equipment at its facilities.“
According to Holsten, the parties have a common intention of annual cost reductions through simplifications and im-provements in the delivery of equipment and services.
“This also involves identifying opportunities and the use of new technology. The goal is that the measures will lead to energy-efficient, low-emission solutions through improved technology, materials and services, including lower energy consumption for products and materials and alternative working methods,“ he explains, adding: “We will also look at optimizing material flow and logistics to contribute to reduced greenhouse gas emissions.“
The framework agreement applies to both existing and new facilities.
