ABB XianYue switch range wins Red Dot Design Award 2021
ABB’s XianYue switch range, developed by the ABB China design team has won the prestigious international Red Dot Design Award winners for 2021 award, marking ABB’s continuous exploration and progress in innovative design and customer experience.

Established in 1955, the Red Dot Design Award, known as the “Oscar Award” in design fields, is one of the internationally recognized top industrial design awards, aiming to recognize the most outstanding product designs around the world.
ABB’s XianYue switch range is designed for mid-to-high-end commercial and residential buildings in China. XianYue’s aesthetic design inspiration comes from the Sydney Opera House, with one very narrow curved frame. The curved frame design provides a smooth and elegant impression, whilst the mirrored gloss surface offers a pure and flawless look and feel. The product looks simple and elegant, providing customers the enjoyment of visual beauty, combined with switch functionality.
Selecting rare earth alloy silver as the switches’ contacts provides ample capability to bear high current surges ensuring customers can control LED lamps securely in any installation. (LED lamps will generate high current surge during switch on/off)
XianYue provides four different colors; Athens White, Morning Glory Gold, Starry Sky Black, and Classical Gray, meeting the different design styles of customers.
XianYue range offers a comprehensive portfolio ofswitches and sockets for either a residential or commercial building application. Including panel switches, wall sockets, five-hole + USB, dimmer switch, alarm switch, sound & light control, infrared sensor, infrared sensor night light and various Extra Low Voltage products.
