Design and mounting of the modules in third-party cabinets is easy with the help of complete installation kits for Rittal VX25, or a generic kit suitable for other cabinets. 3D models of the kits are also available, and the design can easily be modified to fit specific cabinets. In addition, the drive modules are certified by all major marine certification bodies, which greatly helps cabinet builders with their certification process.
Maintenance is easy as well
The ACS880LC drive modules are designed for long maintenance intervals, with no air filters to be changed, and are easy to maintain since most service operations are possible without disconnecting or draining the cooling pipes. This reduces both the service time and the risk of getting contaminants in the cooling system. And if a module does need to be replaced, the motor has quick connectors which eliminate the need to disconnect cabling.

Advanced diagnostics save time and trouble
The ultra-modern liquid cooled drive also includes advanced diagnostics and temperature monitoring, to further ensure exceptional reliability and increased uptime. The built-in diagnostics check for potential hot spots, monitoring temperature on all key components and sending alerts if needed. This helps protect the equipment and warn operators before costly failures and breakdowns occur, and also can prevent possibly dangerous situations from developing.
Other features of the ACS880LC include built in dU/dt filters and a kit for a common mode, CM, filter above the module, for compact, lightweight and simple installation. Furthermore, the Antifrogen® L coolant is premixed with the best corrosion and bacteria inhibitors in it, eliminating the risk for bacteria and corrosion that can occur with other systems when glycol must be mixed with water.
