The second-generation racing car, powered by electricity will be the highlight of Automotive Expo Sofia 2018, that will take place October 18-21 at Expo Center Sofia
Gen 2 is the newest car model of ABB FIA Formula E that was officially presented during the International Geneva Motor Show earlier this year and will make its debut at the start of the new season in December 2018. This car represents the best of the technological capabilities for electric powered vehicles and fits perfectly the Automotive Expo Sofia, where all guests will have the opportunity for a closer look at the future of the Automotive industry.
The Gen2 car is not only a technological masterpiece but also an attractive alternative for racing enthusiasts. The cars used on the ABB FIA Formula E Championship are the most modern vehicles designed according to the most restrictive performance standards. Similar in appearance to Formula 1 cars, with the difference that Formula E focuses primarily on energy efficiency, a balanced approach to the environment and much less noise. With a maximum power of 250kw, Gen 2 accelerates 0 to 100km/h in only 2.8 seconds and is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 280km/h.
“We are excited to have the ABB Formula E car in Sofia and to present the future of electric mobility to everyone,” said Marcel van der Hoek, Country Managing Director of ABB Bulgaria. “Thanks to our strategic partners in the Bulgaria, ABB‘s fast-charging stations for electric vehicles are available all around the country, and we expect to have over 35 installations before the year-end.
