ABB recognized with two industry awards and seven companies listed on China Top 100 Electric Companies

  • Seven ABB companies were ranked among China Top 100 Electric Companies
  • Three ABB companies won the awards of Top 10 Leading Companies and Top 10 Decarbonization Solutions of the Year
  • ABB collaborates with local customers and partners to transform energy and industries for quality development

ABB was recognized with seven local companies ranked among China Top 100 Electric Companies and three ABB companies awarded Top 10 Leading Companies and Top 10 Decarbonization Solutions of the Year at the 17th China Electric Industry Development Summit Forum held on December 14.

"I am very pleased that ABB companies have been again rated as Top 100 electric companies and won the Top 10 Decarbonization Solutions award.” said Dr. Chunyuan Gu, Chairman of ABB China, “Low-carbon and quality development has become the new target of companies in digital transformation. Over the past year, ABB continued to support the sustainable development of China’s energy, industry, transport and infrastructure sectors by providing efficient and digital solutions for such key projects as Three Gorges Group’s offshore wind power installation platform, OPPO (Chongqing) Intelligent Ecological Technology Park, NIO’s new green factory, Changsha Metro Line 6, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, New Development Bank headquarters building, Shanghai Library East and Kunshan Huaqiao data center.”

The year 2021 marks the beginning of the 14th five-year Plan and China’s new journey of sustainability towards the goals of carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060. The initiative will further optimize energy structure and urge industries to improve efficiency and reduce consumption. Ltd., Beijing won the Top 10 Leading Companies award for their remarkable business growth and performance achieved in the year 2020. ABB Electrical Machines Ltd. was honored with the award of Top 10 Decarbonization Solutions of the Year for its AMI modular induction motors which help customers significantly improve energy efficiency and cut emissions.
