Robert Itschner, Country Managing Director, ABB Switzerland and head of ABB’s local Motion business, has decided to take on a new challenge outside of ABB. He will leave the company by September 2022 at the latest to take up the position of CEO at BKW.
Robert Itschner joined ABB in 1993. With a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in electrical engineering and computer sciences, he worked in a variety of positions at ABB in research and development, supply chain, the management of local business units and divisions in Germany and Switzerland and as head of the former Power Conversion business unit.
Robert Itschner has been Country Managing Director, ABB Switzerland, since 2018. In 2019, he was also appointed head of ABB’s Motion business in Switzerland.

ABB Switzerland will provide information on Mr. Itschner’s successor at a later date.
