Marrette® wire connectors

Invented in Toronto, Ontario – The brand name Marrette® and wire connectors have been interchangeable since Bill Marr revolutionized the way conductors were connected with the invention of the first pressure-type wire connector in 1914. Iberville® boxes

Made in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec - Iberville® steel boxes and covers have been designed and manufactured in Canada for over 100 years, using Canadian-sourced raw material. Iberville® is the most recognized brand of steel boxes in the Canadian electrical industry. ABB offers 180 different types of electrical boxes for construction projects. Star Teck® fittings

Originated in Kirkland Lake, Ontario - Star Teck® fittings were named after Kirkland Lake’s Teck-Hughes gold mine. ABB designs and manufactures the fitting industry’s standard for safety, quality of construction and ease of installation in its Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec facility. Invented in Montreal, Quebec - The Microlectric® brand began in Montreal in 1970. The meter bases are designed to withstand the rigours of the Canadian climate and combine superior quality with first-class service and support. Today, Microlectric® meter bases are still designed and manufactured in Canada at our Iberville plant in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. More about Microlectric® meter bases.


Emergency lighting solutions

Made in Dorval, Quebec – Over 80% of our emergency lighting products sold in North America are made in Canada. Our Canadian facilities handle over 12,000 raw components daily. And 100% of the printed circuit boards used in our products are made at ABB’s Dorval, Quebec facility.
