The ABB Process Automation Channel Partner Conference 2022 was held on July 5-6 in Bangalore, India. After meeting virtually for two years, the live event was the ideal setting to discuss growth opportunities, industry challenges, sustainability, digitalization and collaboration, in line with this year’s theme – “Success with Synergy.”
Over the last decade, channel partner conferences were global live events that occurred annually. In 2022, ABB’s Process Automation business area changed the concept from one global event to a few regional ones to better serve the needs of channel partners.
“We were thrilled to host a live event for Process Automation’s channel partners in India and Africa. We could really touch base with them to discuss pertinent issues and explore new avenues for collaboration,” noted Wissam Assaf, Senior Vice President, Indirect Sales Process Automation, ABB.
Value-added sessions
During the two-day event – attended by about 80 channel partners – there were 15 plenary sessions, 14 breakout sessions and a Q&A panel discussion. “Through these sessions, partners had the chance to get insights into Process Automation channel business strategies and portfolio overview, and to explore growth opportunities with ABB,” said Wissam Assaf.

The interactive breakout sessions with industry experts and global and local ABB management focused on creating business synergies in key markets. Joachim Braun, Division President, ABB Process Industries, was a guest speaker at the conference, sharing details on ABB’s contribution to a sustainable future and how this is impacting our communities and businesses.
As part of the event, channel partners presented empowering success stories and some engaging conversations around today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. Additionally, we also discussed the new indirect sales organization that is ready to support our channel partners.
In the second day of the conference, participants also got the chance to experience the new and expanded R&D and engineering facility – ABB Innovation Center (AIC). This state-of-the-art campus is one of ABB’s largest globally, and it is the backbone for technology developments to accelerate innovation.
