Showcasing cutting-edge innovation for the smarter cities of tomorrow

  • ABB will once again welcome visitors to experience firsthand the latest in smart energy saving, energy management, and building automation
  • Latest developments unveiled for the first time demonstrate the power of technology in innovating our way to carbon neutrality
  • Insights into how partnerships and collaboration are helping customers and partners live more efficiently and sustainably – thanks to open, flexible solutions

Under the theme ‘Welcome to our Smarter City. Smarter Home. Smarter Building. Smarter Mobility’, global technology leader ABB will once again profile its latest intelligent products and solutions at Light + Building, the world’s biggest industry event for lighting and building services technology, in Frankfurt on October 2-6, 2022.

As the venue opens its doors again after three years, ABB will welcome thousands of visitors to its 2,250 m2 stand in Hall 12, A/B/E 51 to demonstrate how it supports customers and partners in realizing their energy efficiency and smart, sustainable living goals.

Through a range of interactive and experiential displays, the company will exhibit its new technology highlights in energy saving, energy management, building automation, and design – including the multi-award-winning ABB SmartTouch® 10”. Visitors to the stand can also benefit from a variety of activities held on the ABB stage throughout the week, designed to spark ideas and inspire.

Uwe Laudenklos, Executive Vice President, Marketing & Sales for Europe, Canada, and Francophone Africa (ECFA), ABB Electrification’s Smart Buildings/Smart Power divisions, commented, “Buildings and construction consume more than 30 percent of the world’s energy and generate nearly 40 percent of global CO2 emissions1 so the need – and opportunity – to reduce this is huge. Technology, design, and collaboration are enabling harmonious ways of living that are safe, sustainable, and can help us reach a carbon neutral future, faster. We’re very much looking forward to sharing our latest innovations and insights in smart building technology and demonstrating, in person, to others how they too can drive down energy use and cost.”

Visitors will also learn how partnership and collaboration acts as a key force of innovation for advanced comfort, convenience, and energy savings in the built environment, while experiencing decarbonization in practice through ABB’s Mission to ZeroTM program, the scalable blueprint of smart building solutions combined with on-site renewable energy generation and storage using.
