ABB Australia joins other global sponsors such as Toyota, Hyzon Motors, Orlen-Un Petrol, Stanwell Corp and Moravia Steel to support the 6-month educational program H2GP, where students learn about renewable energy, alternative fuels. The students are then challenged to design and build a hydrogen powered remote controlled car, using technology like 3D printing and laser cutting.
At ABB, it is our mission to enable a more sustainable and resource-efficient future through our technology. The H2GP educational program will allow ABB to support future innovators who are interested in solving some of the world’s biggest challenges.
The H2GP is the only international program that introduces hydrogen into the school curriculum and allows students to engage with real-world hydrogen applications and empowers students to tackle urgent global challenges like climate change.
On October 11, 2022, Foxwell State Secondary College, Gold Coast Australia, hosted an event with its two Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix teams to meet with their sponsor ABB Australia. One of the teams at the college which ABB is sponsoring is composed solely of young women, and a total of ten students make up the two teams.
