The conference under the title "What about tomorrow" brought together more than 300 key industry stake-holders including Ship-owners, Ship-mangers, associated solution providers, technical managers and representatives of the shipbuilding industry and classification societies. The conference covered areas like latest technological developments and innovations, bunkers, lubricants, chemicals, performance and propulsion.
The one day conference consisted of a number of informative presentations followed by interactive Q&A sessions, panel discussions and an open discussion to further involve the delegates. Mr. Paolo Tremuli from ABB Turbocharging was one of the key speakers at the summit. His presentation titled "Dedicated turbocharger designed and optimized for marine auxiliary engines" illustrated the first dedicated turbocharger from ABB Turbocharging, designed specifically for small bore medium-speed marine auxiliary diesel engine platforms with up to 2MW power output. The presentation raised huge interests amongst the participants leading to an interactive participation of the attendees with lively discussions.
