“I am truly proud of the achievement, behind which is the selfless commitment of all our people! With such an excellent result, it is good to step into the New Year,” said Jukka Patrikainen, ABB Country Manager, Baltic countries.

He added that the past year was a success for the company in many ways. “Improvements were made not only in financial performance such as revenues, income and orders, but also in safety, people engagement and communication. We had good plans, but more importantly, we were able to implement them successfully,” Patrikainen emphasized.

Most of the top ten companies were among the most reputable ones also last year, but ABB, which rose from 20th to the 5th place, and the Port of Tallinn, which rose from the 26th to the 10th, made the biggest jump.
According to Aivar Voog, research expert at Kantar Emor, companies at the top of the reputation ranking are characterized by the fact that they are consistently highly valued by different sections of society. “Reputation leaders are in a strong position in all key consumer segments – high reputation has been achieved among both men and women, both Estonians and non-Estonians, both younger and older citizens,” Voog explained.
The purpose of Kantar Emor's annual survey of the notoriety and reputation of large Estonian companies is to rank large companies in various fields on the basis of their overall reputation, not to compile a brand ranking. On a ten-point scale, people are asked about their attitudes towards companies based on their overall attitude and strength index. These factors, along with overall credibility, are the most important dimensions in a company's image.
In November 2019, 1,177 Estonian residents aged 15–74 participated in the survey, involving a total of 86 large companies.
