ABB’s CD Actuator Health Assessment focuses on the core practices required to keep actuators performing as they did when they were new, and helps develop service practices that identify early warning signs for potential issues.

Supported by the global knowledge resources of ABB, and executed by certified ABB technicians, the ABB CD Actuator Health Assessment includes inspection and testing of:

Mechanical condition and alignment of actuators
Interlocks and other electrical aspects of actuator packages
Supporting hardware (i.e. compressors, blowers, power supplies, etc.)
Environmental installation and application
Software setup and installed software updates
Control setup and actuator tuning using ABB’s Transition Control Tracking software

Report

After completing the assessment, a report is generated with findings on each activity that includes a process impact study to establish a control range baseline, as well as recommendations to improve and maintain CD actuators. Recommendations can include:

Visualization techniques to track actuator performance
Reports and recommendations to improve mechanical condition
