Continuous ASA emulsification unit

Alkenyl succinic anhydride is one of the most frequently used additives in wet end chemistry.

The ASA emulsifier is a continuous preparation system designed to emulsify ASA with cationic starch and deliver the emulsion directly to the paper machine.

Application

High quality size emulsification with all polymers, modified starches and cooked starch chemistries.

Benefits

  • Continuous output capacity
  • Emulsion with homogeneous particle size distribution.
  • Automatic delivery flow-rate adjustment according to paper machine consumption.

Cationic starch conversion unit

Cationic starches are used as retention aids and dry-strengh additives to improve paper strength properties and drainability.

ABB starch jet cooker with its in-line high-efficiency steam heater ensures the complete cooking of slurries of cationic starch by a uniform heating with minimal pressure drop.

Application

Wet end starch cooking. For all types of cationic starches: corn, potato, tapioca, wheat, maize, etc.

Benefits

  • Easy installation and operation
  • Excellent end-product quality
  • Smooth operation
  • Low operational costs
