Travel:
Fly into Bangor International Airport (BGR)
• Approximately 15-20 minute drive to campus
• Rental cars and rideshare services available at airport

* For winter travel (November – March), we recommend allowing additional buffer time due to weather variability.

Parking:
Parking instructions and lot access details will be provided prior to the start of training. Participants not staying at the campus hotel (highly recommended - see below) will receive a parking permit with details on authorized lots and walking maps.

Class Start Times/End Times:
Classes are scheduled to start at 9:00am each day. Please do not make flight arrangements for any time before 5:00 pm if your class ends on a Friday. All other classes are scheduled to complete at 5:00 pm on the last day.

Lunch Program:
The AMC B.O.T. Loft will provide lunch vouchers to be used at The Bear’s Den at Memorial Union. Note – these are limited to $20 (typically sufficient for a meal, snack, and drink) – participants are responsible for any overages.

Security:
The Advanced Manufacturing Center lobby opens at 7:30am, access to lab spaces is restricted to scheduled training activities.

Smoking:
The University of Maine campus is a tobacco-free campus. Smoking and vaping are prohibited on university property.

Emergencies:
In case of an emergency, notify your instructor immediately and we will provide you with appropriate directions. The UMaine Police Department can be reached at (207) 581-4040, for life-threatening emergencies please call 911.

Hotels - Ask for the AMC B.O.T. Loft discounted rate.
Hotel Ursa - https://hotelursa.com - (207) 962-1313.  Hotel Ursa is currently our only recommended hotel and is located right on campus (about a 3-minute walk to the B.O.T. Loft). We highly recommend staying with Hotel Ursa as it includes dedicated parking provisions which simplify wayfinding on campus.
