Cities of San José and Santa Clara recognized the need to modernize their Regional Wastewater facility’s automation system to continue operating efficiently and without interruption, while copying with ever increasing demand for efficiency and sustainability.
They decided to upgrade to ABB Ability™ Symphony® Plus, including the I/O modules and operator interfaces, to reduce operational costs through real-time data collection and maximize the wastewater management.
With a total capacity of 167 million gallons (633,000 m3) per day, the RWF treats and cleans wastewater for a population of 1.4 million people and 17,000 businesses across eight cities and county areas in Silicon Valley.
