Let’s get technical

Drawing on our experience from the original Onboard DC Grid™ solution for larger vessels, we have packed the knowledge and benefits into a powerful and compact system, currently for vessels up to ~1MW power. This range is due to increase.

The Compact Onboard DC Grid™ consists of our marine DC switchboard combined with wall-mounted HES880 converters, associated controls, and user interfaces. The versatile converter modules can function as generator rectifiers, motor inverters, DC/DC converters, or DC/AC modules for AC network supply.

The benefits of a flexible and compact system design are great. Fewer components make integration and maintenance simpler and more cost-effective. Higher efficiency means lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions. To top it off, the smaller footprint minimizes weight and leaves more space for cargo, passengers, and additional equipment and systems.
