The system can be configured to require that certain aspects, such as a configuration aspect, a report, or a control application are signed by a user.
The digital signature incudes the identity of the signer, the date & time of the signing, and a cryptographic checksum of the signed aspect.
Later, the signature can be used to check if the aspect has been manipulated – if it has, the signature has been broken ad the “result” status will change to invalid.
User verification is performed by using the Windows user ID and password in combination with a selected reason for signature and an optional comment.
